No longer do we have to listen to Blackberry Phone users brag about their BBM or Blackberry Messenger, or new iPhone messaging program iMessage, which will work on iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. There is now a new service called GroupMe that enables group messaging on any phone that can text, regardless of who makes it or what operating system it runs. GroupMe gives you a textable number that represents a group of your friends out of your contacts list. Perhaps you want to send a message out to some of your co-workers, what if you are the captain of your team and need to send a mass message to everybody on the team and then they are all able to chat back with their own imput.
If you have a solid group of people who feel comfortable with one another, you’ll probably make good use of GroupMe. Maybe your on a family vacation, or during a wedding weekend and you have to be in contact with several people at once it could be a big help and making group messaging easier for you and your friends when planning things. You should check it out and see if this would be something that would bring together all your friends that have different smart phones but a common goal of being able to chat to one another at any given time.
